After Action Report – Operation Spearhead III

Mission Statement:
C-SQN with 1 Troop and 3 Troop, along with TACD&E4 with 1 Troop, deployed to TAO ANIZAY to establish a foothold and a FOB for future operations, and to identify enemy strength and response time.

Mission Process:
3 Troop, C-SQN and enablers from the 24th STS deployed ahead of the Main Force. They established an Austere Landing Zone from which the Main Force could step off. After the Main Force landed, TACD&E4 moved out and occupied a Last Cover and Concealment (LCC) position to execute OBJ 310. Meanwhile, C-SQN moved by vehicle to an offset vehicle drop-off point near OBJ 311 and also established an LCC there. On Z11's command, all elements executed their objectives.

Statement GFC Z11:
C-SQN executed its objectives flawlessly. During the assault, the Troop achieved an estimated 34 EKIA. After clearing OBJ 311, the Troop established a Support By Fire (SBF) position and a Casualty Collection Point (CCP) to contain OBJ 313 for TACD&E. In the final phase, C-SQN attached to TACD&E to provide better support inside a tunnel system at OBJ 313.
