1. Overview of the Service
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of MilSim.io. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to be bound by them. MilSim.io is operated by Artemis Digital Solutions Ltd; if you do not agree, you must not use the platform.
MilSim.io allows gaming communities to create and manage structured groups, events, rankings, campaigns, and related community functionality. Users may create and manage communities, join communities, submit applications, participate in events, and interact with community-management systems.
2. Account Registration
To use certain features, you must create an account. Accounts may use email/password authentication, Discord, Steam, Google, or Microsoft identity providers. You are responsible for maintaining account security and for activity that occurs under your account.
3. Community Creation
Users may create communities on MilSim.io. Communities can include names, descriptions, abbreviations, logos, banners, campaigns, events, ranks, awards, qualifications, units, order-of-battle structures, positions, automation flows, application forms, custom forms, and user-generated profiles.
Community administrators are responsible for managing their communities and the content submitted by users within them.
4. Platform Moderation
MilSim.io communities are primarily self-managed. However, Artemis Digital Solutions Ltd reserves the right to moderate the platform retrospectively. Actions may include removal of content, suspension of users, restriction of communities, or termination of accounts, without notice and at any time.
5. Acceptable Use
Users may not upload or distribute illegal content; harass or abuse other users; distribute malicious software or exploit the platform; upload infringing content; manipulate ranking or voting systems; or attempt unauthorised access to platform infrastructure.
Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of accounts.
6. Voting and Ranking Systems
Users and communities may not manipulate voting and ranking systems through automated voting, vote brigading, or other abusive methods. Artemis Digital Solutions Ltd may invalidate votes, remove rankings, or restrict communities when abuse is detected.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
Certain features are available through paid subscriptions, billed monthly or on an optional six-month period. Payments are processed through Stripe and MilSim.io does not store card information.
Refunds may be issued on a pro-rated basis at Artemis Digital Solutions Ltd's discretion. If payment fails or is cancelled, paid functionality may be removed; community data is not automatically deleted, but subscription-linked features may be disabled.
8. API Access and Automation
MilSim.io may provide API access and integrations with third-party platforms such as Discord. Access is managed through authentication and authorisation systems, including OAuth-based controls. Unauthorised scraping, automated requests, or attempts to bypass access controls are prohibited.
9. Termination of Accounts
Artemis Digital Solutions Ltd may suspend or terminate accounts at any time if these Terms are violated or abuse is suspected. Termination may occur without prior notice.
10. Intellectual Property
The MilSim.io platform, including its software, branding, and design, is the intellectual property of Artemis Digital Solutions Ltd. Users may not copy, distribute, reverse engineer, or reproduce the platform without permission.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability
MilSim.io is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. Artemis Digital Solutions Ltd does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or continuously available service; users assume the risks associated with use.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Artemis Digital Solutions Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform, including loss of data, loss of community activity, or service interruptions.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Northern Ireland. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.
13. Changes to These Terms and the Platform
Artemis Digital Solutions Ltd may update these Terms and modify, remove, replace, or introduce platform functionality at any time. Changes may affect community interactions, subscription plans, or feature availability. Continued use after updates are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms and service changes.
14. Community Abandonment
Communities may become inactive or abandoned. Artemis Digital Solutions Ltd may restrict, archive, or remove communities that remain inactive for extended periods, including where administrators are absent, there is no community activity, or required premium subscriptions are not maintained. Removal or archival may occur without notice.
15. User Content Licence
Users may upload content including community logos, banners, descriptions, and other visual or textual materials. By uploading it, users grant Artemis Digital Solutions Ltd a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, reproduce, and distribute it as necessary to operate, promote, and improve MilSim.io.
This licence does not transfer ownership. Users remain responsible for ensuring that they have the rights necessary to upload and share submitted content.
16. Community Responsibility
MilSim.io hosts communities created and managed by users. Communities operate independently and are responsible for their own content, administration, and conduct. Artemis Digital Solutions Ltd does not endorse, control, or take responsibility for community actions, statements, or content.
Administrators must ensure member content complies with applicable law and these Terms. The platform does not actively monitor all community content, and users acknowledge that community interactions occur at their own discretion and risk.
