[FUN OP] Skyhook | Jetpacks in action
**SUBJECT: OPERATION:** SKYHOOK
**LOCATION:** Dorvallan
SITUATION REPORT: Six weeks ago, Forward Depot K-17 went dark. The jump-trooper supply post at the foot of Kessar Mesa was overrun by a droid raid in a single night, and High Command listed its garrison of twenty clones as killed in action. Two days ago, the cruiser Valiant Dawn picked up a faint clone transponder signal from the top of that mesa. The Separatists have built a platform base up there, designated Spire Nine, with a small shuttle docked on its edge. Intelligence now believes part of the K-17 garrison is alive and being held aboard that shuttle. It is scheduled to leave for Separatist space at dawn. Once it jumps, our brothers are gone for good.
MISSION PARAMETERS: Spire Nine is protected by flak turrets that will tear apart any gunship trying to fly up, so the air wing will drop us at the valley floor, 2 km from the depot. From there we go the way the garrison would have gone: on jetpacks. The problem is that every jetpack on this side of the planet is locked in K-17's armoury. We will go in, Vornskr takes back the depot and its gear, and then we fly. Expect heavy droid resistance at every stage, and expect them to fight harder the closer we get to that shuttle. We left twenty brothers behind once. Not again. For the Republic!
**PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:**
Phase One: Advance on Forward Depot K-17 with Krayt in the lead and break through the droid defences at the gate. Clear the depot, restore power to the generator, and breach the armoury vault to recover the jetpacks.
Phase Two: Jetpack up the face of Kessar Mesa and assault Spire Nine. Clear the hangar and comms tower, and destroy both flak turrets to open the skies for the air wing.
Phase Three: Breach and board the Separatist shuttle before it launches. Corridors are tight and our brothers are in the hold, so shields and batons go first. Free the prisoners, seize the cockpit, and hold until the gunships arrive for extraction.
**SECONDARY OBJECTIVES:**
Recover the K-17 garrison's final logs from the depot comms shack. All squads should also search for any survivors who may have escaped the raid and stay alert for Separatist intel aboard Spire Nine.
