171st Combat Brigade

Description

The 171st Combat Brigade is a realism unit/community founded by veteran Arma series players playing since 2003 (Operation Flashpoint) and lead by individuals that have been on the Military Simulation scene since 2008 (with some 16+ years of experience between) and populated by knowledgeable individuals with current and prior service backgrounds - fostering a great environment for learning. To that end - the primary focus of the unit is to teach/provide an experience and a teaching platform for both in-game and real life military skills in an enjoyable way. While the group focuses on organized and realism play - we aim to create and provide an community for which to casually interact with each other outside of the game environment as well. The community formed here wishes to bridge to other games and interests of individuals as well, but at its core - we aim to provide the high standard and format of gameplay that our unit/community members expect and enjoy. Leadership in this unit is built on the qualities and commitment of the individuals leading rather than seniority. In our recruits, we're looking for those who genuinely want a realism experience, an aspiring military academic or a genuine interest or desire to learn (ergo, TL;DR beware). As we focus on imparting and putting to practice knowledge both applicable in-game and some real world information as well. "Hard to learn - Hard to Master" - is the preferred route for this unit. ignis vis pacem ~ peace through firepower.
